Bahia Principe Grand La Romana - All Inclusive

The staff was so sweet and amazing. I can’t rave about them enough. The guys by the pool at the bar were sweet with my son attentive and truly did their best to make all of us happy. They were also very funny. There was a woman during meals who always came to check on my nonverbal son to see if he needed anything. They were super sweet and couldn’t rave enough about the staff.

As someone who work in hotels for the last 5 years, boutique hotels and 5 stars hotels. I got to say I’m surprised! The food was surprisingly very good!!!! In the buffet and in the restaurants of the hotel. All of the staff are very kind, nice and helpful I want to thank to everyone and especially darliana and heury from guest service who took care of everything I asked for. Ronal from the front desk who helped me to get my medications on time with pleasure and a big smile! Also drabi, Alejandro, aldo and the rest of the front desk staff who was always helpful and with a big smile. Camili and margarita from housekeeping who were so nice and adorable:) Jose and Francisco from the itailian restaurant, and Juan from the French restaurant - serve with a smile and small talks which is very important. And the one and only - my favorite - Alfred Bautista :) Keeps the energy high in the sky Always here to help with a smile Thank you all for making my time in the DR unforgettable!!! I will be back soon. I promise ♥️

I stayed at the Bahai Principe Grand La Romana for 10 days before going to the Hilton Romana for a week to meet friends. After comparing them I can tell you Bahai Principe is way better. The staff is nicer, fun and cool unlike the snobby Hilton employees. The buffet is literally three times bigger and better (plus you can serve yourself). No one tries to upsell you - everything is included. If you ask for a specific brand you get top shelf alcohol from the bars. The outdoor pool is the nicest (and biggest) one I've ever seen. The Hilton pool is half the size of the Bahai Principe. Overall the Hilton was five times more expensive and not as nice as the Bahai Principe. Both are only 30 minutes apart. I used they gym daily which was good. The kids club (mini club) is good for young kids like 5-8. Lot's of entertainment but by far the coolest thing was the Beach Foam Party! They spray blue and pink foam about 4 feet deep and have a dance party on the beach. Super fun. Some fire dancing shows, a supercool guy who plays saxophone etc... I had enough entertainment that there was no reason to leave the resort. There is also a small casino which we went to one night. It gets hopping around eleven at night. We saw a dance club but never had the energy to go inside. The food was literally jaw-dropping. That's the biggest buffet I've ever seen. Sea fruits, fresh tropical fruits, traditional stuff like a pizza and pasta bar as well as great salads. They change themes every night. Breakfast is absolutely super - they serve anything you can possibly think of. Lunch is amazing - and they always have a huge baked fish or beef roast in addition to the other baked and roasted fish they serve. The desserts are literally works of art and cover three or four full tables. The guests can also book restaurants instead of eating at the main buffet each night. I tried them all and would recommend Le Gourmet as the one to book.

Staff and facilities were great, property huge and clean and well worth the vacation. There were a few staff that stood out on our stay, primarily buffet staff that went out of their way to make stay one we will never forget and for that we are forever grateful...

The beach was very nice. The staff was fantastic. I just hope the staff get paid well and that their wages give them a good standard of living. I don't like the thought of them working long hours, serving our every whim and having a poor standard of living with very little vacation and low wages. Food was good. The booze was okay but I'd love to know truly how watered down it is. Bahia Principe is very affordable so I'm not complaining, I'm just interested in knowing. The facilities were good. The choice of excursions was fantastic. We had a fantastic time.
